Consultation on Proposed Weight Limits in Milcombe

Oxfordshire County Council is asking for views on the proposal to introduce a 7.5 tonne goods vehicle weight limit on New Road Milcombe as well as on Newcombe Close & Portland Road leading off, with access being maintained for the purposes of loading/unloading to adjacent properties.
The proposal is aimed at reducing the number of inappropriate and large HGV vehicles travelling through the village causing damage to the road surface and edges, and obstruction to the flow of traffic on the narrow roads.
