The Proclamation of the King (Proclamation of Accession) is the official announcement of the new monarch, King Charles III.

The Proclamation of Accession will be read at St James' Palace in London, Saturday 10 September 2022 and then again at the Royal Exchange, in front of the Lord Mayor of the City of London.

The Proclamation will also be read in Edinburgh, Cardiff, and Belfast.

The Proclamation will be read at 1300 on Sunday 11 September 2022 by the High Sherriff of Oxfordshire in Carfax.

The Parish Council reading of the Proclamation is at 1600 on Sunday 11 September at the War Memorial, which is located in St Laurence Church porch.

The Union Jack will be raised at 11am today and then lowered again after the Proclamation has been read in the village.
